Forbidden Fruit Creates Many Jams

Ha ha! Got your attention! I found that bit of wisdom in my fortune cookie a few weeks ago.

No forbidden fruit here, but did you know that there is a slow jam scheduled once a month in Cary? I tend to assume that everyone knows about these things, only to be surprised that I am wrong!

The jam is designed for beginning to intermediate players … a great place to pick up new tunes, work on ear training, practice common repertoire with others, share ideas, try playing backup, meet new friends, and just have fun playing music! While it is especially intended for hammered dulcimer players, other acoustic instruments are welcome.

Here are the details:
  • Held the 2nd Sunday of each month, 2:00 - 4:00pm
  • Community of Christ Church, 912 W Chatham Street, Cary, NC
  • Viola Suddaby is the facilitator
Just missed the January meeting ... but why not put this on your calendar as you make plans to improve your playing in the new year?

Here are the dates for the next three months:
  • February 8
  • March 8
  • April 12
Contact Viola with questions or to be added to the email list.
