Instruments for Sale

In the market for a used instrument?

Upgrading? Looking for a new home for your first hammer dulcimer love?

A number of calls and emails come in about instruments that are 'for sale' in central NC. Additionally, students who are renting instruments decide to take the plunge ... purchase their own instrument. Wouldn't it be nice to get these folks together?

This page is dedicated to connecting buyers to sellers in the area. Send information via email to Sue. We'll post it here. You take it from there!

In your email, please include:

  • a concise description of the instrument
  • a declaration of its condition
  • the price you're asking, or the market value
  • what's included in the price
  • your name and email address
  • you may include one photograph

Notify Sue when the instrument is sold. Blogger reserves the right to remove postings from the list after a period of time, even if no sale has been reported.

Please be aware that this blog is open to the public and that postings may be linked to FaceBook and other social networking sites. Blogger will attempt to present information in an accurate manner, but it is up to you to confirm it all. Negotiations should be handled privately. Haggling and feedback regarding transactions are not appropriate within the comment section of this forum. Trapezoids of the Triangle takes no responsibility for the wheeling-dealing that buyers and sellers do ... caveat emptor!

Hard to believe, but I've been retired from regular teaching for 1-1/2 years now! Time to reduce some inventory. The following "student" hammered dulcimers are now available (4 different models) in Pittsboro, NC. I also have some scissor-style stands available. We'll have to arrange for pickup as shipping costs would be prohibitive. Let me know if you have need for one or more! Contact Sue at
